OK, this page has been getting a little tired ... it's been a fairly random series of snapshots from the "Transplant Years" ... a year after my first one (still not 100% recovered; more or less before my second one, and then 18 months after my fabulously successful second one. That's all pretty much old news now, although of course I still get tons of traffic to my site for my transplant story, so it's still relevant. But anyway, I've added a couple of more recent photos at the bottom.

Here's yours truly, captured with my handi-cam into my av video port.
I've got my eye on the monitor screen, which somewhat accounts
for the crazed look. A new picture will be posted eventually, probably
sporting a shave and a haircut. (This photo around March 96.)

Well, for those who've been waiting, here it is, years later (December 97) - self portrait at the Rudolf Steiner chalk drawings exhibition in Berkeley, "Knowledge of Higher Worlds." I've graduated to a Casio qv-10, actually quite crummy by today's standards, but still haven't replaced it. Well, yes, I did get a haircut .. .one of my goofiest looking ever. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. BTW, this is me seriously between transplants. I've got a biliary drain tube placed in my bile duct, draining through a tube down my trousers into a little bag around my ankle ... pretty nasty, although I was able to be 95% functional.

Here I am 18 months after my second transplant with my two sons, Nicholas and Timothy, at the Grand Canyon. Note the 'Yes' on my shirt - my total attitude. Scanned from 35mm. Click to enlarge. |

There are other photos of me on the site, starting with a bunch of pictures of me in my guise as Willy Wonka as part of the SCO Follies in spring 2000.
Also a recent photo of me (with Steve Howe) at Yescapade 2002.
