The offensive man goes about with a leprous or scrofulous complaint or with blacknails, and says these are diseases he got by heredity. His father had them and his grandfather, so it is not easy to he supposititiously introduced into his family. He is always having ulcers on his shins and sores on his toes. He never takes any care of them but lets them fester. His teeth are dirty and decaying. He wipes his nose while eating and gets covered with blood at a sacrifice. He lets saliva fall from his mouth while talking and goes to bed unwashed. He uses rancid oil to anoint him self at the baths, and walks in the market-place clothed in a heavy tunic and a light robe covered with stains.
