Let's take care of each other

At awakenings, we aim to create a safe space where you can be yourself and lose yourself. We value and respect all people regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, physical appearance, origin, ethnicity, religion or other group identities. Therefore, we do not tolerate any form of (sexual) harassment. If you violate these rules, we have the right to remove you from the event.

Take care of yourself, care about others and we will take care of you.

Take care of yourself

Celebrate safe

Partying requires a lot more energy than you think. Take your time to chill out and don't forget to eat some food. If you need water, you can either buy it at the bar or drink some at the free taps near the toilets.

If you’re not feeling well, the first aid / EHBO team is there for you. If you like any information about (health implications of) drugs, please visit the Celebrate Safe stand at the chill area or the first aid.

Please keep in mind:
  • Drink enough water, but not too much (1 or 2 glasses per hour)
  • Take a break sometimes and don’t forget to grab a bite at our foodcourt
  • We advise you to wear comfortable clothes and layers, so you’re able to take something off or put something extra on
  • The first aid team is your friend
  • Don’t push your limits, be responsible

Take care of others

Are you okay?

At Awakenings, we aim to create a safe space where you can be yourself and lose yourself.

We value and respect people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and ethnicities. Therefore, we do not tolerate any form of (sexual) harassment.

When you think you see someone being harassed, ask the question:

ARE YOU OKAY?

A simple question so everyone feels safe and respected.

Let’s take care of each other.

Did you experience an unpleasant situation? Please turn to the first aid team, they are trained to help you.

We take care of you

Social Safety crew

We have social safety crew at each show, recognizable by their white t-shirt with 'SOCIAL SAFETY CREW' on their back. Please approach them if you have a question or if there is anything else you would like to share with them, they are there for you.

We have a collective responsibility, so if you observe or experience violations of our house rules, if you feel unsafe or notice that someone else is being harassed, please check in with each other or contact our staff, security, first-aid or a member of our social safety crew immediately. Our staff knows the whereabouts and will point you into the right direction and/or accompany you.

We can help you better and make the event safer in general, in the moment itself. We do however understand that reporting immediately is not always an option for multiple reasons. It is possible to submit a complaint or report an incident with us after the event, this can be done via info@awakenings.nl. Please note that it might take a few days for our team to come back at you.

When dealing with reported violations, our main priority is to make the affected visitors feel comfortable. All reported incidents are given serious consideration: they are registered, stored and evaluated by Awakenings, utilizing (un)slouched advice by an impartial advisory body. We safeguard the anonymity of visitors and only proceed with the consent of the affected visitor.

PROTECT YOUR EARS

We advise wearing earplugs with a music filter. There’s a special shop at the festival next to the first aid where we sell Alpine x Awakenings earplugs. Earplugs will also be available at the merchandise store and markets.

Our team

Our team is here for you, making sure you have the best time of your life and we value your safety. Our well-being team will walk around the venue, please reach out to them if there is anything.

Camping Guardians

Visiting an Awakenings campsite? The Camping Guardians are there to help and ensure that you are safe and well. If you are feeling vulnerable, or just a little uneasy, the Guardians will help. They are not security guards, however, they can assist with security issues should you require them.

Guardians walk around the campsite and are at the camping reception, 24/7. There is a phone number which is available 24/7 from Friday-Monday, and is stated in the Camping booklet you receive at the entrance.
