The festival can easily be reached by bike, it's only a 40-minute bike ride from Amsterdam city center. We have a bike parking close to the entrance. You can rent a bike at one of the Black bike stores, book your bike in advance online here and get a 10% discount.

Do you experience a flat tire on your way? We have a team that will fix your bike! Call +31651645596. They can be reached on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April between 11:30 and 15:30.

NOTE: don't forget to remove your bike before Monday. On Monday all the fences will be removed and all remaining obstructing bikes will be removed as well. Locks will get cut and costs are not refunded to you.

The easiest and most used option is to take the train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk. From there, you take a shuttle bus (10-minute drive) or a bike (25-minute drive) to the festival.

The train station Halfweg is closed during Awakenings Easter Festival, since the station is not big enough for our visitors.

Departure times
The first buses depart at 11:00 and they will continue driving to and from the festival throughout the duration of the festival.

A return ticket between Sloterdijk and Awakenings Easter Festival costs € 7,70 in pre-sale. (€10,- on location)
It is easy to buy bus tickets directly in our ticket shop.

Leaving the event
For your return trip back to Sloterdijk, keep in mind that there can be a short wait for the shuttle buses at the bus stop. Also, be aware that it will take extra time gathering your things from the lockers and walking to the bus stop.

Facilities for visitors with a physical disability
At the shuttle bus station there are no special facilities. However, the shuttle buses are accessible for you. It is recommended to arrive as early as possible to avoid traveling at peak hours.

We have City Centre coaches, going from 3 different locations in Amsterdam City centre, these buses will bring you straight to the Festival and back.

Parking for one day costs € 15,- in pre-sale. (€ 20,- on location)
Parking tickets for both days (combi) costs €30,- (2x € 20,- on location).

Your car can stay in the parking area from Saturday to Sunday but you are not allowed to sleep in your car.

Keep your parking ticket ready on arrival, the barcode will be scanned.

We have two Kiss & Ride areas.

Once you see the 'Kiss & Ride' signs, turn off your navigation and follow the signs.

Please remember which Kiss & Ride you were dropped of to make sure you are picked-up at the same spot!

The Kiss & Ride Oost is located at the N1 ground.

The Kiss & Ride South is located at the SugarCity Events parking and is accessible via the N200. In order to find each other, tell your passengers to follow the 'Kiss & Ride' walking route from the festival site to the 'Kiss & Ride Zuid' location in Halfweg.

If you're leaving the festival by Uber/ Bolt follow the signs "pre-booked taxi" and order just before you arrive at this designated pick-up point.

It's a 15-minute walk from the festival exit to Wethouder van Essenweg 1, Amsterdam. This is the only spot in the area where Ubers are allowed to stop and pick up clients.

First time Bolt-user?

1. Download the Bolt app for iPhone or Android add your credit card. You can already do this now.

2. Enter the promo code ‘AWAKENINGSBOLT22’. You will get 50% discount (with a max of €10) on your first Bolt ride in the Netherlands (valid from 14-4 till 19-4).

3. Request your Bolt: Fill in your destination address in the Bolt app, check your pickup location and request. A driver will arrive in no-time.

We do not advice to take a taxi. There will be a long queue at the end of the festival and prices will be high.

A better and cleaner way (50 persons instead of 4 persons in one trip) is to take the Sloterdijk shuttle service.

Taxis can only stop at the designated taxi area, so if you want to take a taxi to head home: start following the Taxi signing. The taxis for larger groups >4 will be lined up separately, so watch out to stand in the right line.
