Don’t forget to use sunscreen when it’s sunny (you can bring your own, no spray)
Drink enough water, but not too much

We advise you to wear comfortable clothes and layers, so you’re able to take something off or put something extra on
During the night the temperature can drop, don’t forget to bring some warm clothes
On Saturday & Sunday, there is a sunscreen bar at the festival, next to Area S.

BE AWARE OF PICKPOCKETS! Keep an eye on your bag/phone. If you see anyone suspicious, please turn to the security and give a description of this person.
TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER
A whole weekend of partying requires more energy than you think. Take care of yourself, care about others and we will take care of you.
Celebrate safe
You can visit the Celebrate Safe stand near the first aid stand if you like any information about (health implications of) drugs.
At Awakenings, we aim to create a space where you can be yourself and lose yourself.
We value and respect people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and ethnicities. Therefore, we do not tolerate any form of (sexual) harassment.
When you think you see someone being harassed, ask the question: ARE YOU OKAY? A simple question so everyone feels safe and respected.
Let’s take care of each other.
Did you experience an unpleasant situation? Please turn to the first aid team at the festival site, they are trained to help you.
Camping guardians
The Camping Guardians are there to ensure that you are safe and well. If you are feeling vulnerable, or just a little uneasy, the Guardians will help. They are not security guards, however, they can assist with security issues should you require them.
Guardians walk around the campsite 24/7. You can also find them at the info stand at the Grand camping and Relax Resort, which is open 24 hours.
We have an emergency telephone number, which is available 24/7 from Friday-Monday. The number will be in the camping booklet which you receive at the entrance.
Sustainability
We love to dance together on our beautiful planet for many more years. We are aware of our environmental impact, and we intend to create our festivals as sustainable as possible. Let’s take care of each other and keep it clean together!
Leave No Trace
Often at festival campsites, many tents and other camping equipment are left behind, which leaves a great environmental impact on our planet. We kindly ask you to take care of your camping equipment after the festival and take it home.
Ashtrays
At the entrance, you will receive a free pocket ashtray from us. Please use it for your cigarette buds and empty it at one of the larger ashtrays situated at the camping and festival site.
Waste collection point
There are several waste collection points at the camping, where you can get rid of your full bin bag. You can get a free new Awakenings bin bag at the reception.
Green shower
An average 8-minute shower uses over 110 liters of water. Shower quickly in our disco showers and save water.
Vegetarian menu
One of the easiest ways to contribute to less climate change, is by eating a vegetarian diet. We offer a 100% vegetarian, delicious menu. Let us surprise you how versitale and nutricious it can be!
Plant trees
We ask our visitors to come by public transportation as much as possible, which most of you do. Awakenings donates 2% of every parking & shuttle bus ticket to Trees for All, who plant trees on our behalf to compensate the CO2 emission.
Smart Energy
We always work with a smart energy plan, maximizing the consumption of energy from the power grid and other renewable sources. During our load-in and show period, we only make use of batteries. Since 2016, all stages are also powered by batteries. In 2019 we started using biofuels, obtained from horticulture, to power our generators. This will drastically cut down our CO2 emissions.
covid-19
On March 15th, the Dutch government has announced that all event-related restrictions regarding covid will be lifted on March 23rd. This means you don't have to show a negative covid-test or proof of vaccination upon arrival at one of our events.
When you are traveling to the Netherlands from another country, you don't have to show a negative covid-test or proof of vaccination at the events either.
