To avoid queues and save some time, you can now plan “how-to-get-there”. If you’ve been to Awakenings Festival before, please note that we’ve changed our shuttle bus arrival, parking west and taxi stand this year. Don’t forget to follow the signs for the right entrance/exit!

How to get there
Partying a whole weekend at Awakenings Easter Festival? Choose the COMBI line at the entrance, and pick up your wristband there.

On Sunday this wristband + your e-ticket is your entrance ticket, so make sure to keep your wristband on; without it, you won’t get in.
Save some more time and pre-order your locker online. Print your locker e-ticket and go to the locker desk and your e-ticket will be changed for a locker code. You will receive a PIN-code to open your locker (no deposit). Be aware of your pin code! Don’t throw it away, otherwise, someone else will have access to your locker.

Combi-visitors buy a 2-day-locker and keep the same code for the weekend. Didn’t buy your locker upfront? You can also buy a locker at our desks (both entrances).

Locker sizes:
Standard : 22,0 x 25,0 x 50,0 cm
Large: 33,0 x 25,0 x 50 cm

Food and drinks can be bought with tokens, which can be paid by cash and card at several token stations across the festival grounds.
During all our Awakenings events we are working with a deposit system on all cups, cans and bottles we give out at the bars. We would like to collect as many as possible, to make sure they can be recycled!

  1. At the entrance, after scanning your ticket, you’ll receive 1 FREE recycle token from us.
  2. With each drink you order, you hand in your recycle token or an empty cup, can, or bottle.
  3. Lost your recycle token and/or your cup, can, bottle? Then you have to pay 1 regular token.
  4. When you’re leaving the venue or you don’t want to have a new drink, you can hand in your empty cup, can, or bottle at the bar or at the recycle points at the venue. The bar staff will give you your recycle token in return.
  5. There is a unique code on the recycle token, after the event you can go to our website and fill out the code, then you have a chance of winning prizes!
This year, to reduce our ecological footprint, you will find a digital version of our timetable and floor plan, live on our website.

You will find QR codes to scan on the festival site, with a live timetable, a downloadable floor plan, and many more extras to make your weekend as easy as possible.
Many artists will showcase their signature sounds during the two-day festival, divided into seven different areas. Tune in during the festival on our website to watch exclusive content from ground-breaking performances combined with Awakenings’ stellar stage designs.

The livestream schedule will be released this week.
We have brand new merchandise: sweaters, caps, T-shirts, flags, and more cool stuff at the festival and on our webshop.

For our 20th anniversary, we created the official Awakenings Book! Get your hands on six pounds of techno history, captured in more than 500 pages and interviews with all techno heroes. Expect nothing but techno, with Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Joris Voorn, Len Faki, Pan-Pot, Maceo Plex, and many more… It’s a collector's item you don’t want to miss. You can buy the book online on our webshop.
In 2019, we stopped selling cigarettes during our Awakenings events. Due to new Dutch regulations, it is forbidden to smoke inside venues and tents. If you still want to smoke, please do so outside. Thank you for cooperating and avoiding expensive fines.
Note: It is allowed to carry a max of 2 packs of cigarettes per person.
Consider that when everyone leaves at the end of the festival it will take a while to transfer all visitors by shuttles. We hired a huge number of buses, but if you want to be sure to catch a train you should leave in time.

It’s advisable not to drink great amounts of water (no more than 1 or 2 glasses an hour) and to eat something.

Prepare for all weather conditions. April in the Netherlands can be sunny during the day, cold in the evenings, and rain can be included. But that won't stop us :) With 6 massive tent areas and a semi-open-air area, the festival is produced for all weather conditions.

Check out our advice below:
  • Don’t forget to use sunscreen when it’s sunny (you can bring your own, no spray)
  • Drink enough water, but not too much
  • Take a break sometimes and don’t forget to grab a bite
  • We advise you to wear comfortable clothes and layers, so you’re able to take something off or put something extra on
  • During the night the temperature can drop, don’t forget to bring some warm clothes
  • Think of yourself, care about others
  • The first aid team is your friend
  • Don’t push your limits, be responsible
  • Most of all enjoy the festival and dance!
At awakenings, we aim to create a space where you can be yourself and lose yourself. We value and respect people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and ethnicities. Therefore, we do not tolerate any form of (sexual) harassment. When you think you see someone being harassed, ask the question: ARE YOU OK? A simple question so everyone feels safe and respected. Let’s take care of each other.

Did you experience an unpleasant situation? Please turn to the first aid team at the festival site, they are trained to help you.
Lost something? Check the iLost tent near the fairground/carnival area. Is the festival already finished? Check the website of iLost.

Found something or have questions about anything? Come to our iLost tent/info-stand.
BE AWARE OF PICKPOCKETS! Keep an eye on your bag/phone. If you see anyone suspicious, go to the security and give a description of this person.
