Microfunk

Microfunk will do its (worldwide) LIVE-debut at this edition of Awakenings! Collaboration of Dutch techno talent Dylan Hermelijn (2000 and One) and Amsterdam based UK producer Dave Ellesmere. Dylan Hermelijn famous from early ninethies project "Edge of Motion" with the big acid house smasher "Set Up 707" on Djax Records from Miss Djax. Currently dropping one hit record after the other as 2000 and One on labels like Cocoon (Tropical Melons), INTACTO (Get Down) and 100% Pure (Adonai Elohim). Dave Ellesmere realsaed two very deep Detroit sounding albums on Heiko Laux Kanzleramnt imprint. Later got involved with Shinedoe's INTACTO, where bassline anthem "Standing in Line" got released. 2000 and One & Dave Ellesmere joined forces in spring 2006, with some serious results. As Microfunk's "Pecan" was one of the biggest minmal techno summer groovers of 2006 "Pecan" is played by all the main DJ all over the world. From the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath to Roger Sanchez, Derrick May and Adam Beyer...and many more.
