Bikes
We’ve created a dedicated bike parking area close to the venue. Please follow the signs and park your bike there. Bikes left in other (unsafe or inconvenient) places will be removed for safety reasons.

Don’t forget to take your bike home — the bike parking will be dismantled shortly after the event, and any remaining bikes will be cut loose.

Bike battery charging lockers
We have a limited number of lockers on site where you can charge your e-bike battery. Please note that you’ll need to bring your own charger. Lockers can be purchased on site only, at the cashcard desk upon entry.

Special Bike Deals
Awakenings at the SugarFactory is easily accessible by bike. Book your rental bike online at 'The Zwarte Fietsenplan' in advance and receive a 10% discount.

Public Transport
The venue is located right across from Halfweg-Zwanenburg train station.

On Wednesday and Thursday, due to rail construction, the station will be closed. We’ve arranged special shuttle buses from Amsterdam Sloterdijk station to the SugarFactory. Shuttles run all night, between 22:00 and 08:00. Click here to buy your shuttle bus ticket.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, trains run as usual — check schedules at NS.nl.

Car parking
Parking tickets can be purchased in advance through our shop for €10,-. Once they are sold out, no additional tickets will be available, and parking without a valid ticket will not be possible.
Click here to buy your parking ticket.

The parking garage at the outlet is not available for Awakenings visitors. A separate parking area has been arranged exclusively for Awakenings guests closer to the entrance, follow the yellow event parking signs to get there.

Please do not leave valuables in your car. There have been reports of thieves using Bluetooth trackers in the area.

Taxi
A dedicated taxi stand will be available, simply follow the signs.
Watch out for illegal taxi drivers. Using them is prohibited and can result in high fines.

Pre-booked Transport (Uber, etc.)
There is a dedicated drop-off and pick-up area. Please follow the ‘Pre-booked Transport’ signs.
Our deposit recycle system
At all Awakenings events, we use a deposit system for cups, cans, and bottles. This way, we can recycle as many as possible. Thanks for helping us keep it sustainable!
  1. At the entrance, after scanning your ticket, you’ll receive 1 free recycle token.
  2. When ordering a drink, hand in your recycle token or return an empty cup, can, or bottle.
  3. Lost your token or cup/can/bottle? Then you’ll need to pay €2,50 extra.
  4. When leaving the venue or if you don’t want another drink, return your empty cup, can, or bottle at the bar or one of the recycle points. The staff will give you back your recycle token.
  5. Each recycle token has a unique code. After the event, enter your code on our website for a chance to win prizes!
Lockers
You can buy your locker online in pre-sale at a discount via our ticket shop.

After purchasing online, you’ll receive an e-mail with your locker number and pin code, no need to wait at the locker desk.

We love being your host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy responsibly and look after each other.

Awakenings, EMS (first aid) and Unity are partners of Celebrate Safe. Remember the medical team is your friend, so do not hesitate to visit our first aid / EHBO.

Please check our 10 recommendations about how to party safely.
  1. Using alcohol or other drugs is never harmless
  2. I love my ears
  3. Think for yourself, care about others
  4. Pace yourself: eat, sleep, rave.
  5. Don’t push limits, be responsible
  6. Be prepared for any type of weather
  7. Take your time to chill
  8. Safe sex, always
  9. The First Aid Team is your friend
  10. Don’t Drink, drug and drive. You are a great risk to yourself and others
Social Safety
At Awakenings, we aim to create a safe space where you can be yourself and lose yourself. We value and respect all people. We have a collective responsibility and take care of each other.

If you need help during one of our events, the fastest way is to approach a member of our staff at the venue.

Some staff members wear a red glowing bracelet, they are senior staff and able to assist you. But you can always reach out to any team member (security, bar, first aid, etc.); they will help you and connect you with senior staff if needed.

If you’d rather not speak to someone directly, look for the purple posters at the entrance, toilets, and locker area. Each poster has a QR code: scan it to start a WhatsApp conversation with our on-site team.

There is a host at the entrance/exit area with the red glowing bracelet and a yellow vest. If you have any concerns (about getting home safely), feel free to reach out to them.

Click here to view our full Code of Conduct.

GET HOME SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE, TRAVEL TOGETHER
We celebrate together, we go home together. Take care of each other, not only during the event, but also afterwards. If a friend isn’t feeling well or has a long way to travel, make sure they get home safely.
Live in the moment - No phone policy
This year, with our new location, we saw the perfect opportunity to take it back to what matters most. We want you to fully live in the moment. No screens, no distractions; just music, connection, and pure presence.
Because being there means living it.

We ask you to respect our No Phone Policy because the best moments aren’t on your phone, they’re right in front of you.

At the entrance, your phone’s camera will be covered. Not as a mood killer, but as a friendly reminder to let go of your screen and live in the moment. No filming, no scrolling, just truly being here.

Dance with the music, not with your phone

ENJOY & LIVE IN THE MOMENT
