Pitto

Pitto got seriously infected by the house virus arround 1995. Late 1998, he took on a more active role by starting to DJ at small events at diverse locations. Late 2000 he joined popcentre Atak and became a promoter/resident-DJ of the Basic Grooves events. There he promoted artists like: Ken Ishii, Robert Hood, Shinedoe, Marco Carola, Joris Voorn, Steve Rachmad and Hakan Libdo to name a few. Meanwhile, together with a friend, he started the project : "Mood Engineering". Mood Engineering organised many parties across the Netherlands. And combined forces with some others to launch for example the projects: "Drift" in popcentre Doornroosje and "Move" in popcentre Paradiso. Mood Engineering developed slowly towards an artistic platform as it still is today! More information can be found on www.moodengineering.nl Early 2003, Pitto started producing his own music and his studio efforts were well received by friends/promoters who stimulated him to continue and professionalizing his sound. This resulted in an astonishing live set, conquering a number of hearts and souls with his funky sound. He preferably plays a mixture of house, techno, minimal and electro, always on the funky and sexy side of things. It's all about exploring boarders! In 2004 Pitto moved to Utrecht, resulting in some brand new projects like Mood Elevator & Stekker. The standard had been set. With a combination of established and less established names, these concepts reputations continued to grow. Due to the immense diversity in Electronic influences, Mood Elevator and Stekker are all about exploring people's creativity and going further. Joining the decks with artists like: Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Ken Ishii, Josh Wink, Robert Hood, Marco Carola, Steve Rachmad, Jackmate, Daniel Bell, to name a few, raised his performance to a higher level the last years.
