Shwelly M is one of Cape Town’s most exciting new Afrotech voices — a South African DJ, producer, and
vocalist turning 26 this year, whose high-energy sets are reshaping contemporary African dancefloors.
A graduate of the Bridges Academy (Class of 2022), she represents a new generation of artists merging
cultural depth with forward-thinking club music.

Her sound moves fluidly between Afrotech, 3-Step, and Gqom, driven by hypnotic percussion, driving
low-end, and moments of vocal release that elevate both club rooms and festival stages. Known for her
powerful stage presence, Shwelly M delivers performances that balance intensity, groove, and
emotional connection — earning her a reputation as a crowd-shaping selector with a clear artistic
identity.

In 2023, she reached a major career milestone by headlining Black Coffee One Man Show, cementing
her position as a trusted and battle-tested performer. Since then, she has continued to build momentum
through consistent appearances across South Africa and features on multiple releases, establishing
herself as both a DJ and creator to watch.

Beyond performance, Shwelly M has emerged as a respected tastemaker within the global electronic
ecosystem. Recently featured on Inflyte during Women’s Month, she represented South African DJs
