Tjade

The Frisian born & raised based Tjade grew up idolizing Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Don Diablo, so it wasn’t a big surprise that he quickly found himself behind the decks when he moved tot he Dutch student city of Groningen for university. It was in this city, renowned for its wild underground music scene and its lack of curfews for bars and clubs, that his childhood passion became his goal in life. Guided by the well-respected and longest running party crew of the city “KopjeK” and later on nightclub “OOST”, he finessed and perfected his style and craft in the DJ booth and became known for lighting dance floors on fire.

While Tjade was playing every venue the city has to offer (and trying to finish university), he simultaneously worked on perfecting his production craft in silence. It was the summer of 2019 when it all perfectly came together and he rose to international fame with his very first release “Koi Jaye”, a rework of a 90’s Bollywood classic. Picked up by the likes of Palms Trax, Job Jobse, Hunee, Skatebard and Esa, playing it at festivals like Dekmantel, AVA and DGTL, the track was hard to miss all summer long.

Now based in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Tjade has since released new EP’s, edits and remixes on labels like Live at Robert Johnson, Mule Musiq, Bordello a Parigi, Dar Disku and multiple others, offering a recognizable sound that lies somewhere in between trance, electro and (neo)italo. With more releases already finished and signed, and time well spent in the studio during the corona pandemic, we can only assume you’ll see and hear a lot more from him in the years to follow.
