What to expect when techno stronghold Awakenings and the country’s rising purveyor of minimalist sounds VBX team up for Amsterdam Dance Event? Come find out for yourself on the 18th of October at one of the city’s most historic clubbing locations; Warehouse Elementenstraat! The artists on this collaborative menu will undoubtedly make the concrete walls of the iconic venue resonate with the full spectrum of thought provoking quality dance music. The countdown for ADE 2019 has begun, and our excitement is growing with every passing day.
The main room
The main-room billing is headed up by the pairing of Chilean techno shaman and Awakenings regular Ricardo Villalobos and Romanian boy wonder Raresh. These two are tuned into each other in a way that is hard to put into words. Seeing and hearing is believing. Flanking the pair on both sides of the timetable are heavy hitters such as Giegling’s Edward, Fabric London resident and Houghton festival curator Craig Richards, Swiss musical chameleon Sonja Moonear and Amsterdam’s world-renowned techno pioneer Steve Rachmad.
The second room
Meanwhile in the intimate second room VBX residents Ferro, Reiss and family affiliate Voigtmann will be throwing sophisticated grooves and musical curveballs from days gone by. Rounding out the bill is Italian selector extraordinaire Francesco Del Garda. Over the course of 5 years this man has become a mainstay on the international touring circuit. When you witness him pushing his blend of instantly relatable but equally unrecognisable techno breaks and infectious house music it isn’t hard to see why he is such and in-demand selector.
